This is my first blog post

... and I really don't know what to say. After all these years of muttering that I should have my own website for my music and writing, I finally did it. www.mikestephensmusic.com And since it came with a blog, I figured why not? And so, here I am -- blogging.

There's not much going on in my life right not. I work from my living room. I eat in my living. I sleep on a small mat in my living room. Basically, I live in my living room. But in a few weeks I'll be traveling back to Michigan to visit many of my musician friends. We meet every August in Three Rivers at a resort by a beautiful lake. Some come up from Nashville and Indiana, some more local, and me of course from Colorado, and we exchange songs and stories, trade CDs. It's a wonderful time. I missed last year's get together, so I'm feeling particularly itchy about this one. I'm always saying that I have the best friends in the world. This is not bragging. It's a fact. And many of them will be there in Three Rivers. I'm sure I'll be writing more about this later.

And that's it for now. So ends my very first blog post.
